guestbook comments

POSTED ON Wednesday, August 16, 2006 AT 18:24 by saint cupcake

saint cupcake can handle criticism. saint cupcake appreciates suggestions. saint cupcake LOVES kind words and niceness. but dear customers, is the saintcupcake website the place to POST criticism?  just like the pretty guestbook you had at your wedding.  if saint cupcake had been a guest at your wedding, and it seemed that maybe your dress was puckered a bit on the side or that the chicken was rubbery,  we think we would just sign the guestbook with "what a beautiful day, we were so glad to be a part of it."

if you’ve had a bad experience with our cupcakes (tee hee, that sounds funny.) please do let us know. but we don’t think you want everyone to know that you think our cupcakes are subpar-looking.  if criticism is posted in our guestbook, we can’t really explain ourselves, apologize, or rectify any cupcake situation that has gone awry.  you can talk to us at . we would love to hear from you.

and ouch, by the way to the mass produced grocery store bakery cupcake comparison made in one recent guestbook entry. our cupcakes ARE hand frosted, only we don’t use our hands because that would be too messy. we do use special frosting bags (squeezed by human, not robot hand) and each and every sprinkle is hand selected and delicately placed atop the frosting using delicate and long tweezer like super mini-tongs we don’t just willy-nilly throw our sprinkles around, like from a jar of jimmies. no our elfish bakers put love into each and every treat. we just want you to know that.

oh and the girl who wasn’t friendly had just lost a whole bag of really cute puppies so one can understand why she wasnt her normal chipper self.

so, in summary, we don’t expect to make every customer happy.  we would like to, but know in our hearts that we just can’t. and we do want to know what you think about us. we just think that if our customers have a complaint, an honest to goodness concern, we SINCERELY want to know.  we just ask that you let US know, and not all of the visitors to our website’s guestbook.

New (way to order what Jami’s Gramma Dot says are the best cupcakes in the) World Order

POSTED ON Thursday, July 27, 2006 AT 18:27 by saint cupcake

We were just sick and tired of our bakers getting their sticky fingers all over the phones around here.  That and the public’s demand for placing phone orders was taking the focus from what was really important, those precious cupcakes.  So we up and opened a business office.  But not just any business office, that would be boring.  And we are not boring.  This week we opened the Office of Celebration and Event Management, staffed by a team of famed celebration and event managers, Jennifer Maldonado and Jessica Beckman who are here for all your party needs.  Well, ok, not ALL of them, but if those needs have anything to do with cupcakes, these are your girls.

So if you need any more than two dozen cupcakes, OR you have a super special party for your gerbil and would like a rodent piped on a dozen cakes, give us a call at LEAST 48 hours in advance and we can try and make your dreams come true.

Call Jessica or Jennifer Tuesday through Friday @  503-916-9835   or   503- 997-3674

Eastside Expansion Project

POSTED ON Tuesday, July 25, 2006 AT 23:05 by saint cupcake

In a world of rumors flying about, Saint Cupcake would like to dispel some myths and present you with the god’s honest truth about what is going on with the EEP, or Eastside Expansion Project. Because Saint Cupcake is all about fairness, love and frosting for all, soon our ‘cakes will be available East of the Willamette. On or around the 32nd of Octobrurary, Saint Cupcake will open its annex doors along Belmont Avenue (on the corner of 33rd, just across from Zupan’s) and serve up sweet treats to those who come from Mt. Tabor to Johnson Creek, from 82nd and Powell to the heart of Hawthorne, from St. Johns to Hollywood and still have not been able to find parking in the Pearl or are otherwise afraid of bridges. Don’t worry Eastsiders: help is on the way.

And speaking of rumors, has any one seen Suri?
